The Story
So who exactly is Rose, the namesake of this fine toiletries collection?
About Rose was chosen to epitomize the style of the famous Josephine de Beauharnais, known also as Rose from Martinique. Her beauty and elegance impregnated her era passing from the old regime through to the new empire.
Rose's colourful history of love and marriage includes a brief period as Empress of France, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte. Rose lived for the most part of her life in the Château de Malmaison, a country house seven miles from Paris. It was here that Rose first cultivated her interest in the arts, interior design, gardening and especially the collection of rare flowers that would be her lifelong passion. As her expertise in botany and horticulture blossomed, her magnificent gardens grew to include more than 250 varieties of roses from around the world.
